- Musician, architect, organ builder, botanist, physician, painter & geologist
- Born in Graus (Huesca), Spain on July 26, 1762 where he is known among older people as
“Monsen Canas” (Mister Bamboo)
- In leaves for the Philippines in October 1790 and arrives in Manila in July 1792
- One year after his arrival, he is entrusted with the construction of a pipe organ (33 stops) for San Nicholas Church at Intramuros, Manila (destroyed together with the church in 1945)
- On December 26, 1795, Fr. Diego Cera, the first Parish Priest at Las Pinas construct the church (1792-1819) and the Bamboo Organ (1816-1824)
- On May 2, 1832 due to illness he has to leave his parish.
- He is appointed as President Prior of the Convent of San Sebastian in Manila
- He died one month later at the age of 70
